When AI exploded into everyone’s feeds, I had the same reaction most people did: Where do I even start?

Every day there was a new tool, a new workflow, a new prediction about the future. It felt impossible to keep up.

So I made a decision. Instead of trying to learn everything, I would focus on what I already knew.

I’ve spent years working in design, branding, websites, and digital experiences. The visual side of technology has always been where I feel most at home, so that’s where I decided to explore AI.

I zoned in specifically on Realism, because the one thing I was sure of was I didn’t want to create “AI slop”,

I wanted to see how far I could push AI-generated imagery before people stopped being able to tell the difference.

That’s how Zaram was born.

What started as a personal experiment quickly became my testing ground. A place where I could practice, fail, improve, and learn. Through Zaram, I explored prompting techniques, character consistency, visual storytelling, fashion photography, brand collaborations, and the endless challenge of making AI-generated humans feel believable. Phew!

It was the feedback…Mindblowing!

Real clients started asking questions. Brands started showing interest. I got to understand what people actually expected from AI-generated content, what impressed them, what didn’t, and where the technology still falls short.

In many ways, Zaram became my unofficial AI education.

She currently has over 300 followers, has landed a few brand collaborations, and continues to evolve as both the tools and my skills improve.

The funny thing is, I wish I had more time to work on her.😥

Like most side projects, client work and life tend to take priority. But every time I return to Zaram, I’m reminded why I started in the first place: curiosity.

AI is changing constantly.

The tools. The trends. The platforms constantly evolving.

But curiosity remains useful. For me, Zaram has never been about building an influencer.

She’s been a way to learn. And she’s still teaching me.
